Shri Krishana Overseas (SKL) Plc, a packaging solutions provider, announced significant progress on its new state-of-the-art facility in Kisaju, Kajiado County. The project sits on a 2-acre parcel and is scheduled for completion by year-end, with commercial operations beginning in early 2026.
The new facility will produce 22,000 tonnes of packaging materials annually, a dramatic increase from the current 3,000-tonne capacity. This sevenfold expansion aims to meet growing demand from the horticulture export, floriculture, and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods sectors.
Managing Director and Founder Dr. Sonvir Singh stated: "This new output is critical to addressing the growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions" and emphasized the initiative will "create job and vendor opportunities for the local community in Kisaju."
Finance Director and Founder Nirmla Chaudhry added: "This strategic expansion represents a major commitment to all SKL stakeholders," highlighting benefits for customers, investors, and the Kajiado County community.
In July 2025, SKL listed 50.5 million ordinary shares through introduction on the Nairobi Securities Exchange's SME Market Segment.
